"Before the end of the year, households participate in an “osouji,” a deep cleaning of one’s space, believed to cleanse the home and purify the residence for the Gods of the New Year. One of the main activities involved is “susuharai,” which specifically refers to the sweeping away of dust or soot. Furniture, as well as window sills, fans, and other hard-to-reach spots are subjected to a thorough dusting. So sweep away the past year with a conveniently sized small broom in 2 styles. Palm fiber is a gentle material and resistant to molding. and the small loop on the handle means it'll hang around year round so you can keep it ready for action ."
