KETTLE YANAGI TS001
A timeless tea kettle designed by one of Japan's most renowned industrial designers and pioneer of post-war design: Sori Yanagi.
Son of Soetsu Yanagi (the founder of the Japanese mingei folk craft movement) Sori Yanagi is celebrated in permanent collections at MOMA and the Louvre Museum for his modern, functional designs that put Japanese craftsmanship at its center.
Made in Niigata, Japan almost entirely by hand, this stainless steel kettle is light yet durable, and designed for rapid boiling. Winner of the Good Design Award in 1998, this modern kettle is one of Yanagi’s best-selling products, with over 1 million sold every year in Japan since its 1960s debut.
Compatible with all cooking surfaces including induction ranges and crafted in a high standard 10/8 stainless steel with a stay-cool handle, it is designed for stability and efficient heating.
The kettle does not have a whistle; you can tell when the water is boiling by observing the steam that comes out of the spout and air-holes at the top of the kettle lid.
