Kosuga Waste Basket
Hand-woven in Kyoto, these shapely waste baskets are made from strips of thinly sliced and pressed bamboo, then varnished to fix its curvy shape. The traditional craftsmanship and warm, natural bamboo tone make this waste basket a chic addition to any living space.
Each piece is made from natural bamboo strips and features unique variations.
Since its establishment in 1890, the Kohchosai Kosuga company has been dedicated to exploring the qualities of bamboo at their workshops and facilities. Kohchosai Kosuga specialized in fine bamboo arts and crafts and produces a wide range of products, such as flower baskets, tableware, bags, and lighting. The craftspeople at Kosuga are true innovators of the medium - shepherding bamboo into contemporary culture that extends well beyond Japan while using traditional techniques passed down through 5 generations.
