History:
Founded in Osaka in 1905 by Zentaro Kuroda, Kokuyo began by making covers for traditional Japanese account ledgers. In 1908, Kokuyo began producing complete ledgers, expanding its offerings in 1913 to include Western-style account books as double-entry bookkeeping gained wider use in Japan.
Kokuyo entered the office furniture market in 1960 with steel filing cabinets and introduced its Campus notebook line in 1975. In 2009, it launched Harinacs, a stapler that fastens paper without staples. Throughout its history, Kokuyo has followed its founding principle of enriching the world through its products, with an emphasis on understanding people's needs and developing practical solutions for everyday life.
