Founded in 1986 by graphic designer Katsumi Komagata, One Stroke is known for their deceptively simplistic paper-cut out works of art. Although One Stroke started as a graphic design studio, after the birth of Komagata’s daughter, the company pivoted to producing tender and beautiful children’s books. One Stroke’s exquisitely crafted books can be found at the MoMA gift shop and other art centers around the world.
