The word 'Hibi' in Japanese means 'everyday', so these compact incense matchsticks in 6 different scents are designed to be enjoyed daily, as the mood strikes! Each pack of incense comes with 8 matchsticks. Simply strike the side of the box to light, then plate on the circular felt mat provided inside and the matchstick will burn all the way down - like an incense. The incense will burn for 10 minutes, but the scent should linger for around 30 minutes. Compact and easy to travel with, these incense make great gifts, and are ideal for those looking to enjoy a scent on the road since no lighter or extra tool is required!

History:
Made in Hyogo, Japan - Hibi is a collaboration between Kobe Match (traditional matchmakers since 1929) and Daihatsu Incense Co (traditional incense makers since 1936). Recipient of the Japan Design Promotion Organization's 2019 Good Design Award (category of Design of Technique & Tradition), Hibi is a modern interpretation of the traditional incense with attention to functionality and design.

Care Instructions:
Take a match and strike the side of the box. Place matchstick on felt pad to safely burn. If you decide to take the felt pad out of the box, be sure to place in a ceramic tray or other dish, so that the surface of your table does not get burned. Surfaces that come directly in contact with the felt while the match is lit and laying on top will get very hot and may leave a burn mark or discoloration.
