We're celebrating with a delightful double feature this year again!

Join us for Mano del Sur with Shuko Clouse, and Casa Ysasi with Patricio and Iñigo Hernandez-Ysasi. They are both former Tortoise staff members!

May 25th (Sat) 1pm-6pm
May 26th (Sun) 12-5pm

Luz y Sombra which translates to light and shadow. Inspired by the artist in Oaxaca whom both Mano del Sur and Casa Ysasi have worked with.

Casa Ysasi, a studio based in LA, was founded by two brothers born in Mexico City. Now based in West Adams, the studio serves as a vehicle for their creative pursuits.

Casa Ysasi draws inspiration from California’s Light and Space movement, the emotional architecture of Mexico, and infuses it all with a deep commitment to craftsmanship.

Mano del Sur is also based in LA and experimenting with upcycling using Mexican baskets, among other Mexican items, and recycle or vintage Japanese fabric, in addition to their usual Mexican handcrafts.
