Holiday Shipping Deadline - Tortoise General Store!

Posted by Emma Tsuchida on

We are receiving a high volume of both online and in-store orders as we get closer to the holidays, and we understand the time sensitivity of your purchases.  For this reason, we recommend getting your online orders in by December 14th, Friday so that you can receive these items in time for the holidays.

Please know, we only ship orders with UPS ground - and we do not send any of our orders with expedited shipping.  We apologize for this inconvenience.

Please also kindly note that we cannot guarantee any delivery dates even if you are able to get your orders in by December 14th because UPS does provide guaranteed delivery dates for UPS ground shipping.

UPS ground shipping estimates 5-7 business days for delivery inside the U.S., but delivery dates can change due to weather, volume of deliveries, and unexpected delays.

For our LA residents, you can shop at our physical location at 12701 Venice Blvd, Los Angeles CA 90066, and pick-up online orders for free!

Please know that our shop is closed MONDAYS, but we are open 10 am to 6 pm from Tuesday through Saturday and from 12 pm to 5 pm on Sundays.

We WILL however be open Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24th from 10 am to 6 pm so that you can do your last minute shopping.

In order for our staff to go home to be with their families on time (we are family business!), we also kindly let you know our doors will promptly close at 6 pm and 5 pm so that we can close up shop.  Last purchases need to be made 15 minutes after closing so that we can wrap your gifts.  We thank you in advance for your understanding.

Happy holidays, everyone!
