Description:
Shizu Hamono's Yuri Santoku and Petit kitchen knives are known for their extremely thin blades, constructed with three different steel layers, each playing an important role in the knife’s performance. Visible on the wavy line that runs next to the blade's edge, this layered construction, known as San Mai, offers a high level of rigidity, and resistance to oxidation and corrosion. The handle, made of light laminated wood, has a polished surface that is smooth to the touch and sealed against water. Each knife comes in a wooden box with the Shizu Hamono logo engraved on its top surface, making them the perfect gift for the passionate cook in your life.

The Santoku knife cuts a wide range of ingredients with ease, but is particularly excellent for working with vegetables. The Petit knife is the ideal paring knife, designed for fine, precision tasks such as slicing shallots, cutting herbs, and boning smaller proteins.
