History:
Haneno Suzuki (b. 1989) is a Tokyo-based visual artist known for exploring the boundaries of material, color, and cutting techniques to create dynamic woven compositions. Situated somewhere between graphics and textiles, her projects emphasize texture and intricate craftsmanship. In the past few years, she has presented her work throughout Japan, Korea, the United States, Switzerland, and Germany. Suzuki was a finalist in the “1_WALL” Graphics Exhibition at Guardian Garden in Tokyo and received an award at the International Poster Triennial in Toyama in 2015. SHUEISHA’s “The Pocket Masterpieces” series has also featured her work as cover visuals across 13 notebook editions. Suzuki holds an M.A. from the Tokyo University of the Arts.
