Woven on large industrial looms using an ancient kimono weaving technique called 'Banshu-ori', Tamaki Niime's Nica Pants are made from 100% organic cotton from Hyogo, Japan grown and harvested by the designer herself. The Nica Pant comes in two styles: futo (wide) and hoso (thin). The hoso pants feature an elastic waist and ankle hem, with comfortable pockets on the front and a tulip shaped pant shape that is loose and wide in appearance. There is a hidden drawstring on the inside to slightly tighten the waist. Woven on a vintage loom. Made in Japan.

Since 2006, Niime Tamaki has overseen all stages of her production line, including the growing of the cotton, dyeing of the thread, and weaving of the finished product. Her work is colorful, original and distinctive, an infusion of the designer’s effortless style into comfortable and easy-to-wear clothing. Banshu-ori, the kimono weaving technique Niime employs, has a long history dating back to 1792. The style is characterized by yarn-dyed fabrics that are dyed first and woven into a variety of patterns.

For every “Only One” garment, Tamaki Niime chooses different thread colors, so each item is totally unique from other woven garments within their line.
Care Instructions:
Hand-wash recommended. Machine washer safe on delicate with cold water and a gentle detergent in a delicates’ bag. Do not use bleach. Hang dry only.

Returns must be made within 2 weeks in original, unused condition with all packaging for either 1. Store credit for the full amount or 2. Refund - minus a 20% restocking fee. Tortoise does not cover the cost of return shipping or the cost of re-shipping an exchange, and the cost of shipping for returns and exchanges is the responsibility of the customer.
