History: 
Established in 1888 in Osaka, Toyo-Sasaki opened its doors to design and produce tableware and oil lamps. As electricity spread throughout Japan and the demand for oil lamps faded, Sojiro Sasaki focused his company’s efforts solely on household glassware design and innovation. This played an important part in the long history of Japanese glassmaking and eventually launched the company into being Japan's top glassware manufacturers by volume alone. Toyo-Sasaki continues to create glass products that showcase the natural beauty of their material while pushing the boundaries of production. HS technology was developed by Toyo-Sasaki Glass Co, and the durability of this line specifically make them ubiquitous at bars, izakayas, restaurants and cafeterias across Japan.

Care Instructions:
Dishwasher safe.  Do not microwave or bake.  Immediate drastic changes in temperature may cause glass to crack. While more resilient than typical glassware, Hard Strong glasses will still break, scratch or crack with strong impact.

 

Returns must be made within 2 weeks in original, unused condition with all packaging for either 1. Store credit for the full amount or 2. Refund - minus a 20% restocking fee.  Tortoise does not cover the cost of return shipping or the cost of re-shipping an exchange, and the cost of shipping for returns and exchanges is the responsibility of the customer.
