"A beautiful touch of gold for your table year round, but especially useful during the holidays when you've got many hot and heavy pots and pans that need a place to rest."

Description:
These unique brass trivets are made by Futagami in collaboration with designer Masanori Oji. Each piece is sand-casted, producing a warm and soft texture called "Ihada". The sandy texture varies in color and markings. Brass gradually develops a patina over time as the metal oxidizes. The longer they are used, the more they develop a richer and more subtle appearance.

Features clear silicone feet to prevent slipping and damage on surfaces.

History:
Futagami, founded in 1897, is a brass foundry located in the city of Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture. Brass has been long used in various applications such as metal fittings for architecture, ships, furniture, and Buddhist altars for its corrosion resistance properties and workability.
Materials:
Brass, silicone

Variation:
Each brass piece has a sand-casted finish. Brass will patina over time, changing in appearance and texture with use.

Care Instructions:
Brass will naturally patina over time. Oil and air will naturally darken this piece and make it shinier. This is part of its natural beauty. Do not use chemicals to clean. If exposed to water or moisture for long periods of time, it may cause the metal to change color quicker or spot.

To remove green rust, mix vinegar and salt in equal parts, and wet the cloth with the solution. Then, apply the cloth directly on the green rust and rub it off. Wash product with a dishwashing detergent, rinse with water, and wipe off excess water with a dry cloth.
