History:
Yota Kakuda studied design in London on a scholarship from the Japanese government, an experience that brought him onto the lead design team at MUJI in 2008. Today, Kakuda designs under his own name, creating products that seem at home all over the world. His designs have received the Good Design Award.
Materials:
Beech, ABS resin, glass.
Variation:
While the clocks are coated in resin, the material underneath is beech wood - a natural material. You may see some variation in the texture and appearance of the wood underneath the resin, including small dents, grooves and grain appearance. These are not signs of defect but proof that the material is natural.

Returns must be made within 2 weeks in original, unused condition with all packaging for either 1. Store credit for the full amount or 2. Refund - minus a 20% restocking fee. Tortoise does not cover the cost of return shipping or the cost of re-shipping an exchange, and the cost of shipping for returns and exchanges is the responsibility of the customer.
