Description:
Mixing her incredible craftsmanship with her undeniable charm, designer Mizuki Tsurutaka creates a whimsical snake or 'hebi' ring from 18k yellow gold dotted with diamonds for its eyes. As one of the oldest symbols of mythology, the snake represents goodness, wisdom, eternal love, and passion. Put into vogue by Queen Victoria when her husband-to-be, Prince Albert, gave her a snake engagement ring. Symbolism dating back to the Victorians has associated the snake motif with forever love.

Size 6.25

History:
Mizuki Tsurutaka founded Black Barc in Los Angeles in 2011. Rather than relying on molds, Tsurutaka handcrafts all her work using traditional Japanese blacksmithing techniques and cites nature as the primary inspiration behind her designs. As a result, Black Barc pieces feel timeless, quietly evoking organic, elemental forms found in our surrounding environment. Based in Torrance, Tsurutaka shares her studio with her husband, Yusuke Muramatsu, designer of Prospective Flow.

18k yellow gold, diamonds
