History:
Montbell Co. Ltd. was established in Osaka, Japan, in 1975. Founder Isamu Tatsuno is an avid climber and outdoor explorer. Along with founding Montbell, he also opened the first rock climbing school in Japan. His original line of outdoor gear was focused around the rainy climate of Japan, and each product focusses on the "Light & Fast" mission of Montbell. Each product is designed to be used in extreme conditions with many different intended functions.
