Tomoro Shinogi Vase

$160.00 Sale Save

Description:
The Shinogi vase combines several design signatures of Tomoro pottery. "Shinogi" refers to the ridged pattern covering the vase, a technique that Morisaki often uses in her designs. Like all Tomoro pottery, this vase also evokes forms from nature. Its round, irregular form is similar to a sea urchin or seed pod. The outside of this piece is unglazed, emphasizing the sculptural form and natural beauty of Morisaki's clay.

Variation:
This vase is a handmade item - each vase is unique. Although they are close in appearance to the vases shown in these photos, there are variations in color and size. The vase you receive may not be identical to the vases displayed in these photos.

History:

Inspired by the imperfections found in nature, Tomoko aims to create simple, warm and comfortable ceramic pieces for daily use. All of her pottery is handcrafted on the wheel in her Los Angeles studio.
