All Around You - Mitsuru Koga Art Exhibition 07.27 - 08.11.2024

Posted by Keiko Shinomoto on

In 2008, his debuted exhibition took place at our old, but expanded location on Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice. This marks his first exhibition in 6 years. As before, he has accompanied by his entire family from Japan - his wife and two sons. Their pride was evident as they entered the space where all the installations were on display!

Feel free to explore his carefully crafted art, where each piece is infused with a unique artistic essence during this exhibition.

*Please email us if you are interested in the price sheet.

All Around You

While living in a town by the sea in Japan, I create works inspired by the materials and landscapes encountered in daily life. I use objects washed ashore like stones, shells, driftwood, and leaves; as well as everyday things such as cardboard, metal, tiles, and bricks. Through these encounters with things all around you, I turn what I find beautiful or discover into individual handcrafted pieces. I believe that beautiful things are very close to us. - Mitsuru Koga
