Glass Coffee Bean Container by Peter Ivy
American glass artist Peter Ivy currently lives and works in Toyama prefecture. He received his undergraduate degree from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1995, and has taught at numerous colleges around the United States and Japan.
The concept behind Peter Ivy's work is to seek beauty in the imperfections of the material. He thus embraces the air bubbles that naturally form in the glass, as well as the slightly different shade and asymmetry of each object.
All of Ivy's glass works, including this coffee container, is mouth blown in his studio Ryudou Kenkyusho, which roughly translates to 'Fluidity Laboratory'.
Each coffee container is one of a kind, and its handmade nature makes each piece unique. Color variation and shape variations can occur. Please know this product is hand wash and hand dry only.
Enjoy your beans displayed in this beautiful glass container and make the glass art of Peter Ivy part of your peaceful morning ritual.
