History:
Handmade by craftsmen in Tsubame, Niigata Japan, an area known for metalware.
Materials:
Enamel coated steel
Variation:
Due to its handmade nature, you may see some irregularity in the enamel coating. This is a natural character of the craft and not a sign of defect. Some parts of the spoon may not be completely coated in enamel, so you must keep the spoon dry in order to avoid any rusting.
Care Instructions:
Hand-wash with a non-abrasive sponge and dry thoroughly. Do not put in a dishwasher. Enamel may chip if it hits a hard surface. If this happens, you may see the chipped areas begin to rust. Rust is not harmful to the body. Enamel is also a strong conductor of heat, so the surface may get hot if left near a heat source.
