Description:
This iron and teak egg pan is a traditional Japanese egg pan with an entirely modern look and feel.  Designed by the famed Japanese industrial designer, Makoto Koizumi, the pan's fiber lined wave pattern on the surface helps keep the egg from sticking or charring.  Able to retain high heat, the pan will become increasingly non-stick over the years with use.  Works on gas, halogen, radiant and induction cook tops too!

Measurements:
7.75'' x 6'' x 1.5'' (pan)
13.75'' (length with handle)

History:

Materials:
Body - Iron with silicone resin coating with "Fiber Line Processing"
Handle -  Teak and stainless steel

Care Instructions:
BEFORE USE - Wash pan with water and dish detergent. Dry thoroughly. Heat on gas cooktop on medium heat for 2-3 minutes, then turn off heat and leave to cool until safe to touch. Add 1/4 - 1/2 cup of cooking oil to the pan, heat on low heat for 3 minutes, tilting pan to make sure the sides are coated as well. Pour out the oil safely. Using a paper towel to rub in the residual oil, evenly coating the pan.

AFTER EACH USE - Wash with a sponge or plant-based scrub brush in warm/hot water while pan is still warm. Do not use dish detergent. Dry thoroughly, heat pan on low heat, and coat lightly with oil before storing.  To remove burnt bits of food, boil some water in the pan to help loosen the burnt bits. Then use a scrub brush with baking soda or salt to remove the bits. Dry and re-season using the instructions above.  Do not leave food in the pan, or leave the pan soaking in water, or it will cause the pan to rust.
