Copper Wire Trees #9 - 16 (2021) by Mitsuru Koga
Delicate trees made by Japanese artist, Mitsuru Koga, from copper wire found inside an electrical cable cord. Koga untangles the wires, then twists them into the shape of a rooted tree. Each tree is held inside a cylindrical glass case.
The tree you select in the dropdown is the tree you will receive. Each tree is one-of-a-kind and hand-done.
Misturu Koga (b. 1980), based in Kanagawa prefecture, Japan, Koga has the ability to infuse life into seemingly mundane materials, and transforms them into objects of art. These transformations are Koga’s commitment to exploring the delicate relationship between man and object, man and nature. His recent studio visit can be found here.
