History:
Mizuki Tsurutaka founded Black Barc in Los Angeles in 2011. Rather than relying on molds, Tsurutaka handcrafts all her work using traditional Japanese blacksmithing techniques and cites nature as the primary inspiration behind her designs. As a result, Black Barc pieces feel timeless, quietly evoking organic, elemental forms found in our surrounding environment. Based in Torrance, Tsurutaka shares her studio with her husband, Yusuke Muramatsu, designer of Prospective Flow.
This pendant necklace features Rose Quartz set inside an 18k yellow gold Doku skull. The back reveals the other side of the Rose Quartz in a multi-pronged setting.
