This double-sided pendant features pink tourmaline set inside an 18k yellow gold smiley face. On one side, the smiley face is accented with pink sapphire "cheeks." The other side shows off the pink and green hues of the tourmaline in a multi-pronged setting. The pink tourmaline are said to soothe the heart and counteract anger and resentment.

Mizuki Tsurutaka founded Black Barc in Los Angeles in 2011. Rather than relying on molds, Tsurutaka handcrafts all her work using traditional Japanese blacksmithing techniques and cites nature as the primary inspiration behind her designs. As a result, Black Barc pieces feel timeless, quietly evoking organic, elemental forms found in our surrounding environment. Based in Torrance, Tsurutaka shares her studio with her husband, Yusuke Muramatsu, designer of Prospective Flow.
