History:
Located in Imabari Shikoku Japan, Kontex has been proudly designing and producing original textile products since 1934. Imabari is the epicenter for towel production in Japan, and considered to be the gold standard for towels worldwide. Imabari towels are made with a sophisticated dyeing and weaving techniques, and a soft low mineral content water from Mt. Ishizuchi is used to remove the stiff starch used in the weaving process, which is key in producing the extra soft towels that Imabari is world famous.
